Jennifer DiMarco, LPC
Autistic Licensed Professional Counselor Specializing in Children, Adolescents, Young Adults, and Families
With a deep understanding of both mental health and neurodivergence, I bring over a decade of experience in the field, specializing in children, adolescents, young adults and families. Since 2014, I've worked across a variety of care settings, including Inpatient, Partial Hospitalization Programs, and Outpatient care, and have served as a Clinical Therapist since 2017.
I am passionate about helping young clients overcome challenges such as anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, bullying, and emotional dysregulation. My expertise extends to working with neurodiverse individuals, including autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, and sensory processing challenges.
As an autistic counselor myself, I offer a unique perspective and empathetic approach that fosters understanding and connection with my clients. My therapy style is Person-Centered, allowing clients to guide their own healing journey at their pace. I specialize in making children and adolescents feel safe, respected, and comfortable, especially when they may not be ready to open up.
In my practice, I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Play Therapy, and Sand Play Therapy to help clients build emotional regulation skills and navigate life's obstacles with confidence.
If you're looking for a counselor who understands the complexities of neurodiversity and is committed to creating a supportive, empowering environment, I am here to help.
