Writing Through Healing
There are stories I couldn’t tell until years later. Not because they weren’t true, but because I hadn’t yet learned how to hold them with love instead of pain. Healing takes time, and writing has always been my way of making peace with the parts of life that didn’t go as planned.
Writing isn’t just about words. It’s a release — a gentle letting go of what used to feel too heavy. When I journal, I’m not trying to fix the past. I’m learning to listen to it differently.
There’s something sacred about sitting with yourself in honesty. Some days, it’s messy. Other days, it’s soft and freeing. But every page becomes a small step toward wholeness.
Healing isn’t about forgetting what happened. It’s about understanding it enough to move forward with more compassion.
Your story doesn’t lose value with time. It becomes clearer.
Write it, even if your hand shakes. Healing happens in the telling.
