Gayborhood Jersey City is thrilled to announce that on Saturday, August 23, 2025, we will host the 25th Annual Jersey City LGBTQ+ Pride Festival—a milestone Silver Jubilee celebration. This landmark event is not just a one-day festival; it is the embodiment of a year-round movement that champions diversity, inclusivity, and LGBTQ+ visibility across Hudson County and the greater New York City Metropolitan area.

Set against the vibrant backdrop of historic downtown Jersey City, the festival will light up Newark Avenue between Grove Street and Jersey Avenue, extending its celebration into the dynamic Grove Street PATH Plaza. With unparalleled accessibility—just two PATH stops from Manhattan and served by major bus routes—our festival is designed to welcome everyone, ensuring that the spirit of inclusion touches every corner of our community.

The Jersey City LGBTQ+ Pride Festival celebrates the rich tapestry of our community—honoring lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, and asexual individuals and the countless allies who stand beside them. Last year, over 20,000 people joined us on the day of the festival, while more than 5,000 attended over 40 additional Pride Month events. This year, as we mark 25 years of building and strengthening our community, we are poised to reach even greater heights. Inspired by the powerful call to “Speak Up, Stand Firm, & Stay Strong”—a theme graciously borrowed from a stirring presentation by the Honorable Stacey Abrams at the 2025 United States Association of Pride conference—this year’s festival is a clarion call for unity and resilience. The day will kick off with our Equality March, a moving demonstration of our commitment to preserving the hard-won rights of our community and inspiring future generations.
